Consistency in the Third Person

from Book of the Five Rings by Seppuku

/

lyrics

I must not forget what I’ve endured
No longer trapped
I am free to be lost
Slight darkness enveloped
Flickering iridescent
Grainy visibility
Missing scenes
Drifting through unfinished corridors
Nails hanging
Words and noises
Footsteps echo
Photographs scattered
Incomplete Poses
Undeveloped faces
And the ones
That have already been destroyed
Proportions offset
So many questions left unanswered
I am not a better person
The same doors I pass
A pocket full of keys
I need not try
Lights before me
I feel their presence give up
More alone
Disembodied
Those hands so familiar
Out of focus
I must concentrate
White holes hollowing out
The past and the present
Dilating
I must remember my purpose
In remaining
A countenance unknown
The culmination
An achromatic void
There are no words for this
